This is my master’s degree thesis project I worked over 2 years. This is a small part of my research that led me to investigate and experience ideas that relate Music and Visual Representation. The main idea was to design a tool that would communicate musical concepts to non-musician and people who’d love to try out music while they’re having fun. The practical exercises are based on 5 illustrations that represent ideas of pitch, rhythm, timbre, form and dynamic. All these illustrations are made with Bare Conductive’s electric paint and then tested on top of a wood box which reproduces sound when touching. To test if this works, I made a workshop and a guide book to explain have it works.

It has the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rui Costa and the helpful hand of some of my friends and professors. It is possible to read it here (only in Portuguese).
